Share to Care

As we approach the end of the year and Christmas, we want to help local communities and people who are less fortunate, experiencing hunger and homelessness during this festive period.

We know that the community we have here at Allegro is incredibly generous. To take it to another level, in addition to our food bank donations, Sunny has decided to curate his own “Share to Care” food donation scheme. If you would like to take part, then all you need to do is fill a small bag with food and drop this off to us. Sunny will then be working with our friends over at the Sikh Society on Carrs Lane (City Centre) for them to distribute your kind donations to people in need.

You can donate as much or as little as you want. Donations such as fruit, drinks and snacks in particular would be hugely appreciated by the community. We will also take donations of any unwanted blankets, duvets or sleeping bags.

Please do not donate any meat products, alcohol, or any canned products. The charity will be handing these items out for people to enjoy then and there, so tins or items that need to be cooked will not be suitable. Canned products can of course still be donated to our food bank collection point.

If you are interested, we will be allocating a collection point at the main reception for donations on Thursday the 8th of December and Friday the 9th of December before midday.  We will be running another collection the following week on the 15th and 16th of December.
